The season is really flying by and we can hardly believe that we’ll soon be at the end of term 2, which concludes on March 19th . The club will be booking summer camps soon as well as Easter camps, our Midterm camps are almost fully booked. Midterm Closure February 13th to the 19th. Scroll down to your program information. NINJA Ninja classes will begin working on their showcase routines soon! Annual Showcase – it won’t be long before we are getting ready for our club showcase which takes place on April 1st at the NUIG Kingfisher. We’re excited to absolutely crust our showcase this season so be prepared for something special. Times for performances and Awards will be posted in the coming months. If you have any clothing you’d like to donate please prepare your bags to be dropped off on March 3rd / 4th! GYMNASTICS Leotards are now available to buy from the club so if any of our athletes are interested, please send us and email and we can arrange a fitting prior to your next class. Clothing for Classes – we have been asked to remind parents that athletes must be wearing appropriate clothing for child welfare and safety concerns. Dresses are not appropriate for gymnastics due to the amount of time gymnasts spend upside down, jeans damage our equipment. Pyjamas are never appropriate. Please wear club t-shirt tucked into shorts or tracksuit, OR a leotard. HAIR must be tied back to participate – hair bands are not appropriate as they hurt when performing head balance activities. Our competition teams will be competing in an internal club friendly on Feb 26th (moved from the 12th for logistical issues). Your coach will give notes about this event at class. These routines will also be displayed at Club Showcase. Our Recreational Classes will be preparing for our club showcase on April 1st so please keep this date free. Competition bows arrived and coaches will give details to all competitive athletes soon. These should be worn for events only to keep them in top shape. Tracksuits, Training Kits and Uniforms have now all been given to our competitive athletes. If you have an issue with sizing, please contact us. Please remember these are paid for out of your monthly tuition payments and are not fully paid until the end of the season along with music, choreography etc. Anyone leaving the club before the end of the season will still be due to pay for these items. Midterm Closure – Please remember we are closed Feb 13-19 (except Level 5) Midterm Tumble Camp – There are some spaces still available to work with Coach Daniela in Tumble Camp next week. You can book online now for athletes who are ready to work back handsprings and tucks. St Patrick’s Day Parade – March 17th is our day for marching in the Parade and it is always one of the highlights of our season. All competitive cheerleaders are expected to attend and recreational cheerleaders can optionally join the day. We need some parents to help with crowd control and sign in/out on the day. Competitions: Teams are working hard on routine upgrades but due to some attendance issues, we are being held back. Poor attendance this season will result in removal from competition squads next season so please be mindful. Our next full club competition for All Star (not recreational) groups will be on March 11th in the NUIG Kingfisher. We are finalising our details on this event and will be sending out more soon. But please ensure that you do not double book this date – all athletes need to be in attendance. Absence: Please ensure your athlete is making the most effort to attend all classes. Teams cannot progress without commitment and the month prior to competition there is a no absence RED ZONE policy.
