As of now we have no return date for this side of the summer so we have ended our current season for all but our elite athletes who have different training guidelines.
Our new season begins May 1st and we will return to classes as soon as we are allowed to after this point. We expect to be able to return in summer and certainly by August. Term 1 will commence May 1st and we will adjust this for when we are allowed to train. Term 2 will begin in August, by which point we expect all classes to be running as normal. We will keep you updated as soon as we know more! Lockdown Part 2 ended on December 1st and we are now open with strict social distancing for non contact training.
Indoor Sport is allowed to return with thanks to Sport Ireland and the new framework which you can read in full at the following link: https://www.sportireland.ie/news/guidance-to-sport-sector-exiting-level-5 Starting from November 2nd, we will be launching our online classes but in a different format. Everyone is somewhat “Zoomed out” so we will start the online classes as Facebook/Instagram live sessions that all athletes can join whenever suits best. We will offer a mix of Gymnastics, Tumbling, Dance and Ninja, along with specialty classes such as handstand focus, TikTok specific routines, jumps, flexibility and of course conditioning. We will then upload the class to our Youtube platform so you can watch them again any time. Won't you come and spend some time with your Stuntworx Family during this Lockdown.
October Restrictions Update
With today’s announcement that the country will go into another lockdown period, we know that it means we all have a hard time ahead once again. We hope it will not be too long until we can get back into the gym as against all odds we’ve been having a wonderful season with our athletes. Our extra conditioning has made every athlete in the gym stronger! We’ve had so many athletes hit personal goals, pass their levels and become better overall athletes. Goes to show what you can do when the chips are down. We’re proud to share that with you. Here’s what happens now: We are reiterating that all club accounts will be frozen until the club reopens again. Whether you are on week 10 of your term or week 1, you will still be able to access the remainder of your term when we reopen. This coming week, we will be giving our coaches a very well earned break. We’ve been open since June 29th 6 days a week, and they have been blowing it out of the park. We couldn’t be prouder of our team this season and we know the kids love them – Ola, Aileen, Caitlin, Wiktoria, Molly, Caoimhe, Jayleesa, Fiona, Marie, Jamie and Hilton all doing our very best to keep our athletes safe and remain in sport. Starting from October 26th, we will be launching our online offering once again but in a different format. We advise all competitive athletes to attend a minimum of 3 conditioning classes per week. They will be broken down into full body conditioning twice per week, endurance training once per week and cardio training once per week. All athletes can join in if they wish. These sessions will be mandatory (3 per week) for elite athletes. We will offer some limited zoom sessions each week to keep club members feeling connected and you can see what the coaches are up to on our club Snapchat where we’ll be updating our carry on every week day. Marie will also be working to promote mental health and wellbeing while we are closed for athletes and parents. We’ll follow up with more details soon. Coming into the winter months without sports is a scary prospect. Stick with us and we can help our athletes to get those endorphins flowing through their brains! Start this one on the right foot – remember all the promises to get fit etc last lockdown…. Make a plan to stick to this time. It may be more than 6 weeks, make sure you have something to show at the end of it. Remember we are freezing all accounts so there is no charge for any of our online classes. We’re making them available to the public as so many of our athletes last season were uncomfortable with zoom so hopefully we can reach more of our members this way. We’d like to wish you all the very best, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support this term and before. It’s shown the very best of people and we love being part of this club. We are delighted to resume all current scheduled classes from August 10th.
Gymnasts, Dancers, Ninjas, Recreational Cheerleaders and all athletes with add-on classes will begin classes from August 10th until the end of the current term in November. If you are unsure of your class times, you can check full information on your parent portal Competitive Cheerleaders are now required to submit their sizes for their training kits. Alliance have given theirs in class. All other teams please fill out the forms on the Kit Page!
We are excited to be in the privileged position of being able to open once again for season 11 at Stuntworx Elite. Covid-19 hit us hard, but won't keep us down! We've managed to keep the gym going with great support from our athlete families.
You can now sign up for Season 11 Gymnastics and recreational Cheer online. Those looking to join for competitive cheer can follow the team placement procedure. As a gym that depends heavily on community, face to face interaction and full on contact, the CoVid19 shutdown has affected us very badly. We closed on March 12th in line with the school closures and we are likely to be closed for some time.
In relation to term fees, we are allowing make up classes when we return for gymnasts and recreational cheerleaders who paid in full prior to the shutdown as well as weekly live classes and a plethora of online content and video library. For cheerleaders who are on monthly tuition which includes all external payments, you are required to pay the March payment in full and then if you choose to keep your spot, a much reduced monthly tuition to keep the gym rent and overheads paid for May and June. After this point we will reevaluate our position. We understand that the gym is the last of many people's concerns and we thank you wholeheartedly for your support and good wishes at this time. We are 10 years old this summer and did not expect to be celebrating in this way. We are very hopeful that there will still be a gym to come back to when this all ends. And we are ready to take on anything after this! |
